Playing anyone but the bot

When I log on the box appears in the middle of the board. I have only 2 choices: cancel or play the bot. I'd like to have the option to play anyone else.

a future version of Greedyammon will have player vs player again but for now there is only bot games. But don't worry, bot games are fun with the new dice roll algorithm that increases your win rate to the same as playing a human. It is turned on by default for players with rating less than 1750. Try it. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I had a lot of fun playing it until my rating reached 1750 and then it was back to regular dice which is not as much fun but for advanced players bot games are still enjoyable.

This rating list is not actual players online. It is only there for reference. GreedyGammon is currently an offline player with bot only games. It does not connect to any server so there is no way to play with other players. But since most people who hate playing the bot is because it is too strong and wins too many games, I have fixed that so that anyone with rating below 1750 will win more games. So you see.. the bot does actually cheat after all but it is in YOUR favor
So you have no excuse not to play the bot. You have a world class player to practice against. If you need to reset your rating back to 1500 to play with the "enhanced" dice, you can do that by edit the file playerlistr.txt in the documents greedyg folder.

I play GG everyday about 10 3 pt matches. My rating is hovering around 1770-1800. I had a couple of "World Class" rated games today. I thoroughly enjoy it.

I will however admit that playing real people is more exciting.

I have some ideas about making a peer to peer version but that won't happen for a while as I am in the middle of relocating.

Is FIBS still around? That used to have some pretty good players. I used to play on pogo.com too, if you get up to 2000+ there are some decent players there.
Maybe there are even some sites that we don't know about yet. Ask around in RGB or bgonline.

Most players on GreedyG when it was online were playing bots and it really didn't get any traction as far as player vs player goes.
